Pack your bags and get your passport, we're taking some European Golf Vacations!
European golf vacations are times that are unforgettable. Playing golf on the same soil where the game was founded over half a millennium ago. The history, the tradition, the passion of the game. It's all there...Scotland, Ireland, England. The U.S. may have the greatest tour in golf, but Europe is home to golf.
With so many places to see and so many things to do while in Europe let's focus on some really cool European Golf Vacations so you'll know where to go while on the Mothership.

O.k. I know the rap that courses in Europe get. "They look like abandoned cow pastures". Yeah, I've heard the line "The European golf courses look like someone went out and painted the ground brown, mowed some circles and put some sticks in the ground". To the casual observer maybe so. But to true golf lovers it's paradise. Plus the cameras on t.v. make it look worse than it really is.
I really think the best way to truly enjoy a European golf vacation is to take a month to six weeks out of your life and just experience another culture all together. You could head over to Scotland, England, or Ireland in early July and play various courses while soaking up the local life and culture. Meeting new people, seeing new places, absorbing centuries old architecture and atmosphere.
The British Open is the second week in July so you could watch the oldest professional golf tournament in the world while you're there.
After the British Open you could hop over to France for some Tour de France action and then stop off in England for thrilling tennis at Wimbledon.
To get your
European Golf Vacations
off to a roaring start go to Cork Golf Club Ireland. Cork will get you acclimated to the sights and sounds of Europe as well as get you adjusted to some fine beer drinking in the pub-lined streets.
If you are wanting to catch the British Open you might want to wander over to Scotland where it is played most years. While in Scotland a fine track to explore is
Cruden Bay
Whether you choose a short vacation or choose the extended plan, one thing is for sure. You will be out on true links courses enjoying beautiful peaceful scenery and you just might not care where that ball goes.
