Cambrian Ridge The Cream of the Crop
Only 40 miles from Montgomery you'll find Cambrian Ridge in Greenville. Many refer to this site as one of the most challenging and beautiful among all on the trail.
If you've ever played the 2003 Microsoft Golf Game you've probably already experienced this magnificent site. As well, you may have noticed it in Golf Magazine since it was the subject of an intense ad campaign.
If you have a son or maybe you want to get out and hit some with your dad, then this is definitely the place for you. Cambrian Ridge hosts an annual Father/Son Championship with more than 100 teams participating every year. In 2006 teams hailed from 11 states and took part in the rite of passage event full of memories for generations to come.

Cambrian Ridge
, composed of
Sherling Course - 9 holes
Canyon Course - 9 holes
Loblolly Course - 9 holes
Short Course - 9 holes (par 3s)
The Sherling Canyon combination received the prestigious title of 3rd best new public course in America by Golf Digest in 1994, and 13th in their list of America's Top 50 Affordable Courses. Amazingly, it also received Golf Digest's Place to Play award as one of the nation's 40 Super Value Courses.
The Loblolly Nine remind some of Augusta National with its rolling fairways, huge pines, and water fronted greens.
The Canyon Nine created from old hunting grounds where deer blinds remain nailed to the hard-wood.
The Sherling Nine might perhaps be the best nine holes on the entire Trail. The ninth hole is straight uphill past a deep ravine with sprinkled with boulders to a double green shared with the Canyon's ninth hole.
Cap off your experience with a cold one at the clubhouse that is above the Sherling/Canyon ninth and is the highest point in the county which lends views to 30 miles of Southern forest imagery.
