Lakewood Golf Club - "HALLELUJAH !!"

Well, well, well. How excited are you now that you've reached the end of the trail? Lakewood Golf Club

Or Maybe you are sad because you have come to the end of a long and rewarding journey of golf excellence?

Either case this golf club will give you the closure that you need. Let's take a look at what lies ahead.

Lakewood is home to the Azalea Course and Dogwood Course. The only way you'll be able to get on these two tracks is to stay at the Grand Hotel Marriott.

Lakewood was built in 1947. It features fairways lined with oaks that are older than your great-great-great-great-great grandfather.

Azalea has a hole, #14, that will make you squirm in your pants. It is a par 5 that has an island green surrounded by a 4 acre lake. I don't think you'll be going for it in 2 on this bad boy.

Both courses have recently been redesigned by Bobby Vaughhan. This new design features 10 new water hazards over the course of 36 holes, so you'll be faced with tough decisions throughout.

O.k. now that you've experienced one of the great trails in all of golf, what do you think? Kind of funny that you can find this world class golf in Alabama, isn't it. After all your hard work and dedication to hard core golf you deserve a break. Go take a victory lap down in the Gulf of Mexico which is just a hop and skip away!
